Human history is, to be honest, a chronicle of human errors. Whether these mistakes were the result of misunderstandings or malfeasance, they have led to deaths, wars, famines, hatreds, and all manner of human misery and despair—and this process will continue until our sun goes cold. 

Thankfully, and for this we can bless both plain self-interest and enlightened thought, recognizing and rectifying these endless mistakes has prodded us along toward creating technological wonders, medical marvels, and a world that is far more just and humane that that which existed in centuries past. Although the worst among us still hold sway in too many nations and regions of our planet, we live in a world that is, overall, far safer and more pleasant than that which existed for most of human history. Ask anyone who was, according to the laws of their nation, boiled alive, deliberately maimed (if they were lucky) for committing a crimes, or left to starve when they were too old to continue doing brutal manual labor. Don’t even get me started on the medical and dental care of the not so distant past—it was ghastly.

Unfortunately, the arc of human progress has been bent sharply downward at an accelerating pace over the past 50 years by bad people with bad ideas and bad intentions who have discovered that using the expansive powers of government is a sure path to personal wealth and near-regal power to silence all opposition. Looting the treasury while insisting their theft, which will eventually end in national insolvency, is done for the so-called “greater good” has been accomplished with the complicity of countless individuals, groups, and corporations who tout their good intentions while pocketing our country’s cash.

My new car is an almost perfect encapsulation of our current dilemma. I love the cool sensors and cameras, satellite uplink, and digital instruments, but I also realize that this fancy frippery is driving up the costs of ownership, maintenance, and insurance, which plays right into the hands of those who want us to be forced to abandon personal transportation in the name of “saving the planet” from climate change that we need to squint hard to discern.

These fanatics, who demand more and more control and cash in order to “save” us from changeable weather and inevitable floods or drought, dream of relocating everyone to “15-minute cities”, which can be implemented only by putting everyone afoot first and herding humans into what are, in reality, holding pens (albeit ones with artisanal breads, electric scooters, and high speed internet) that limit the scope of our horizons while circumscribing our mobility in much the same manner as a dog on a leash. This is a future very few want aside from the fanatics who are gung-ho about switching to a diet of bugs, but the now nearly unlimited powers of government have the potential to give these extremists (and those who are extremely interested in large handouts of government money) the opportunity to turn this grotesque human rights violation into a terrifying reality that sounds like a bad science fiction movie.

The complete disdain for immigration laws and procedures promoted by the world government fanatics and those who, for reasons of their own, want to punish America and Americans for being a powerful and prosperous nation is yet another example of government’s ability to take a bad idea promoted by extremists and use it destroy our nation by implementing stupidity on a grand scale. Legal immigration that vetted those entering our country has made America great; handing cash cards and hotel vouchers to whomever scampers across our borders is an invitation to national suicide. Nonetheless, despite the drain on our national budget, the strain on our public schools, the unreimbursed care that is bankrupting many hospitals, and the foreign criminals who have been allowed to pillage and terrorize our communities, tighter border enforcement and the deportations of the millions of illegal immigrants now spread across our nation are ideas that are treated with contempt by the fashionable fanatics who have slithered into positions of power in government, academia, and journalism. As is always the case, sneering extremists have no interest in the damage they do by refusing to acknowledge harsh realities—textbook ideology is all that counts.

Of course, no one with eyes to see (and children to educate) has failed to notice the dysfunction of America’s public schools over the past few decades, which have been captured by fanatics espousing racial divisions, educational illusions, and gender confusions instead of focusing on teaching the basic skills needed for college, career, and life success. The frightening, damaging, and ongoing erosion of academic and behavioral standards in America’s public schools is built the pernicious lie that high standards for classroom achievement and behavior are themselves discriminatory, which has left our students trapped in a lousy public schools that allow vast numbers of our young to go feral without either adult guidance or firm discipline. This has produced vast numbers of fragile and incapable adults who are wholly untutored in the many responsibilities of a productive life. Little wonder that depression and anxiety are epidemics among our younger generations today; to be prepared by for nothing but humiliating flailing and failing will boost the self-esteem and confidence of exceedingly few students, but allowing this atrocity to continue ensures that a lot of marginally competent adults receive paychecks despite demonstrable proof they are robbing our children of their futures.

The many crazy scams of fanatics are, of course, made much, much easier by convincing Americans to hate one another, which is yet another part of the grand grift that enriches a swathe of willing co-conspirators in government, academia, and the mass media, who make their livings spreading hatreds and suspicions. Never in human history—with the possible exceptions of the propaganda ministries in Nazi Germany and the old Soviet Union—have so many been paid so much to provide so few benefits to a nation and its citizens.

We can no longer afford to indulge the fantasies of fanatics. According to published reports, our federal debt will skyrocket from $36 trillion to $51 trillion in just the next 4 years if we do not drastically shrink the size and scope of our national government and flush the fanatics from their cozy sinecures in the bureaucracy while taking away the taxpayer-funded grants that allow others to enrich themselves while stripping away our freedoms, stealing our security, and harming our nation’s youngest and most vulnerable.

Making mistakes is an inevitable part of being human, but it is wrong to use the powers of government to multiply harms that can verge on crimes against humanity. As is the case with those performing “gender reassignment” surgeries on confused adolescents and mentally unstable adults—or was only recently the case with forced experimental vaccines on Americans that sickened millions—our daily reality is one we should no longer be willingly accepting. Those who clearly wish nothing but the worst for our nation and our citizens have plagued us for far too long, and it is long past the time that they and their horrid ideas should be removed from any positions where they can continue to do harm.
